Always There

Within the pages of the Bible, we learn about the healing power of God. His miracles are known throughout the universe. He is merciful and kind. At the age of fifteen I became aware of his awesome healing power. At the beginning of 1989 I was diagnosed with cancer. The doctor prepared my family and I for my death. I was in a state of shock. Fifteen is to early to be concern with death. The worries of a teenager typically are of school, dating, and driving. In one short moment my life had turned upside down. My life became one of pain and suffering. Surgeries, medicine, and hospital stays started to become a regular routine. My life was very dark. God sent me light in the words of the Bible. "And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people". Matthew 4:23

I cried out to God. I asked others to pray for me. God and only God could get me through this difficult time. During one of the surgeries, I made up my mind if I lived if I died I wanted God to be there always. "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire thou shalt not be burned neither shall the flame kindle upon thee". Isaiah 43:2. I am happy to report that God healed me. With the help of chemotherapy and radiation I have been in remission for 14 years. I am living proof of God's healing power. God has blessed my life. He has given me joy and laughter. I am so thankful. What is written in the pages of the Bible is the truth. God is a miracle working God. He desires to heal. Ask and you shall receive. Whether it be on earth or in heaven, God will heal you of pain and suffering. All that is required is that you ask him for help. He will be there to answer your cry.
