Adversity on every side
Disease overwhelming like a tidal wave
The fortress of my heart is pelted by the storms of life
Gone is the strong and brave
Pain and suffering is the company with whom I abide
Giving in to this adverse situation
Seems to be my one conclusion
Bam!!
A scripture compels into my thoughts
Reminding me God is my help
The only one my heart has sought
Opening my eyes to his plan
I might see
Gently he surrounds me with his holy peace
Adversity runs away like a little whelp
No longer is sickness my guide
Fear shifts like sand
On the rock of salvation, I stand

"Our help is in the name of the Lord
Who made the heaven and earth".
Psalm 124:8
