When there is a need so great
And things are hard to bear
I know that God has the answers
So I go to Him in prayer

He knows my every need
Before I ask or speak
But I still make known to Him
The things that I do seek

"Knock and it shall be opened"
"Ask and you shall receive"
"Through Him all things are possible"
His Word, I must believe

No matter what rages around me
I go to my knees in prayer
And he lightens up my burden
If on Him, I cast every care

When I have no answers
And can not find my way
I cry out for direction
He'll hear me when I pray

I ask in Jesus' name
As His word instructs me to
It brings glory to the Father
That which I ask, He will do

He will answer my request
Any thing according to His will
His promises to me are true
And His love so very real

So I put my trust in Him
And give Him my whole heart
He hearkens to the spoken word
That's when my blessings start

Only by the blood of Jesus
I enter the throne room of grace
That I might truly know Him...
I seek not His hand...but His face

I pray in time of joy and sorrow
To keep my life from disaster
Prayer is my greatest privilege
It's how I touch the MASTER
