SOLDIERS OF CHRIST

We are the soldiers of Christ
Fighting a battle so bold
This war is with the enemy
Who seeks to destroy my soul

We are the army of the Lord
Not here to do our own thing
Recruited by Jesus Christ
We're on a mission for the King

The word of God is my sword
I fight on my knees in prayer
Seeking the face of God
The battle will be won there

Jesus is commander in chief
In His name the blood is applied
So the battle is already won
It's the reason he suffered and died

No enemy can penetrate the blood
No weapon can prosper here
I'm protected by my savior
Whose power is ever near

We don't fight the battle alone
He is at our side
We have the Holy Ghost
As our comfort and our guide

We are men and women of valor
Drawing strength from our savior and Lord
His WORD puts the enemy to flight
It's sharper than a two-edged sword

On Calvary, satan was defeated
And the price was fully paid
Jesus died in my place
Now my choice must be made

Choose this day whom you will serve
As for me, I serve the Lord
And He has prepared for me
A place of eternal reward
