I see them each morning, with wide-awake eyes and beaming smiles,
As they place their tiny hands over their hearts,
And recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing "America".
So vulnerable, yet so pure and brave,
Needing something to hold to for their future.
In God we trust and God bless America, Land that I love.

Please, God, stand beside them now and forever,
Keep them in your hands and protect them from above.
Dear God, please don't let them take "under God" from the pledge.
Our little ones would be so lost and confused.
For each day when they come to school,
This is part of the daily rule.

But, if "under God" is cancelled from the pledge,
No one can delete it from our hearts,
We will always believe and know inside,
That America, the home of the brave,
Was founded on Godly principles and values.
And "one nation under God" will always stand faithfully and true.

God bless America, land that I love,
And God bless the little children who sing,
"Let Freedom ring!"
