God is great
And greatly to be praised
For His grace and mercy
He shows many ways

Everything He did
He did for mankind
Everything He created
With us in mind

His love goes deeper
Than anything known
He shows the greatest love
That will ever be shown

How can we explain
A love so grand
That God Himself
Would become a man

Flesh and blood
He came to earth
To give my life
Meaning and worth

He loved me too much
To leave me all alone
So He left the angels
And Heaven's Throne

To cleanse my sins
He suffered and died
That I would not
Have to pay the price

God Almighty
The Creator of all things
Loved me, a sinner
Just a human being

Oh, what great love
And mercy He shows
Tell everyone now
Let everyone know!

He came to save them also
Every person in mind
Not a greater love
Will we ever find

Yes, God is great
To all of us, my friend
He's the Alpha and Omega
The Beginning and the End

Praise His name
In deed and word
God is great
Let it be heard

Let Jesus' name
Forever be praised
Now and forever
MY God is great!
